Overview:
Pineapple Interiors are an interior design and project management company based in Pimlico SW1. We also specialise in kitchen and bathroom design, supply and installation.
Our projects are generally high end residential refurbishments and new build properties for home owners / property developers throughout London.
We are seeking to recruit a project / operations manager who will be responsible for coordinating all project parties (including designers and joiners within Pineapple Interiors) ensuring projects are delivered to the Client's brief and agreed strategy/timeline. The role would suit an individual with prior experience in the construction industry with an understanding of site management, quantity surveying, project management and/or operations management.
The position will be both office and site based, involving travel to/from our construction sites mainly throughout London.
Experience:
Candidates will preferably have quantity surveying... qualifications and experience however this is not essential. It is however essential that candidates have experience within the construction industry. Computer literacy is also essential in terms of producing and working with spreadsheets and ideally CAD software.
Hours of work:
The hours for the position are Monday to Friday: 9am-5:30pm.
Responsibilities:
The position will be involved in numerous aspects of project management including
• Valuations of works / quantity surveying.
• Project timeline management.
• Producing detailed scope of works from which contractors can quote.
• Reviewing tender submissions and management of the tender process.
• Scheduling of pre-construction surveys (asbestos, SI, CCTV) / 3rd party appointments (engineers / architects / CDM consultants etc).
• Ongoing site visits / management throughout the course of the build.
• Materials scheduling to site – liaising with the interiors team / principle contractor to ensure that materials are on site as and when required.
Ket skills:
Although we require experience in the construction industry as a bare minimum, training will be offered to fill any gaps in knowledge. We are however very much looking for the right personality, with the successful candidate being;
• Smart and presentable in appearance.
• Personable and an excellent communicator (both verbal and written) with contractors, clients and suppliers.
• Keen to learn.
• Highly organised.
Salary / Benefits
• Competitive salary - £30,000.00 – £40,000.00 p.a. (dependent upon experience). There is also be a bonus scheme for any new business introduced as well as company performance bonuses.
• 34 days annual leave including bank holiday.
• Government pension scheme (dependent on eligibility).
