Job Description
The Digital Skills Academy with Version 1 is supported by the Department for the Economy and delivered in partnership with Belfast Metropolitan College (BMC).
The academy is an eight-week training course, delivered onsite, at a BMC campus and will prepare you for a potential Associate position in roles such as Dev Ops Engineers and Software development.
If you're selected for the academy, you'll receive training in:
- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
- Cisco Cybersecurity Essentials
- Java
- Human insights
- Design thinking
When you're in a training academy, you:
- will receive a weekly training allowance of £175
- will be reimbursed weekly travel expenses
- may be eligible for childcare allowance
If you successfully complete the course, you'll be guaranteed a job interview with Version 1. However, successful completion of the academy is not a guarantee of gaining employment.
Qualifications
No previous experience is needed but you must:
- be at least 18 years old
- have a university degree classification 2:2 in any discipline or a Level 5 qualification in a STEM subject
- be eligible to work in the UK and are eligible for UK Security Clearance, you’ll be working on some exciting customer projects and you will be asked to apply for security clearance - for more information visit National security vetting: clearance levels(external link opens in a new window / tab)
- have appropriate IT access to link to the online tuition
If a large number of applications are received, Version 1 reserve the right to enhance the minimum criteria, if necessary, to generate a manageable shortlist for interviews.
Preference will be given to applicants with at least a 2.2 degree in a STEM related subject.
