We are Maake , one of the top 3 leading on-demand textile printing companies in the UK. We print for many of the major fashion houses that you love. We are a young, tech-savvy, socially engaged, web 4.0 company. We concentrate on eco-friendly and sustainable practices. We went from launch to a 7-figure brand in 3 years with a limited staff and we are now growing our team to enable us to double our growth in the next 12 months.
The Production Manager will report directly to our co-founder and will be supported with training on production, textiles and software. You will be looking after a range of state of the art digital textile and wallpaper printersand finishing equipment running dye sublimation, pigment and latex inks.
Maake is in the process of rebranding from Fashion Formula and has put a large investment into a UX and identity refresh, new website and artistic direction. We have two brands: maake and maakehome. Ideal candidate characteristics
· Passionate about print and fabrics
· Experienced in wide format digital printing – ideally on fabrics
· Committed to the job for at least one year or more
· Ready to hit the ground running
· Self-starter and can consistently deliver projects on time
· Crafting communicator that has a good ability to work in a team and motivate people.
· Happy to work on feet all day and be in a fast paced, energetic environment. Doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty.
· Dedication to production efficiency and desire to continuously improve operations.
· Experience in production & Photoshop

The Non-Negotiables Of This Role Are:
Strong communicating skills.You need to hit the ground running and quickly hit production targets – you will have the support and assistance being you. You need to be hitting your KPI’s weekly in all production aspects and communicating this clearly with your team.
Being tech-savvy.You don’t need to be a technical expert, but you must be tech-savvy and be able to quickly learn how to use new tools and technologies. While we don’t expect you to know all the tools we use, we do expect you to be comfortable and able to pick up the concepts. You will be working across a wide variety of software and automation suites so being comfortable with computers is important.
Team player.We’re a tight-knit supportive team that values people hungry to learn and grow with us. While you must work well on your own, you’re also a team player with excellent written and communication skills.
Being detail-oriented and very organised. We’re a small team with ambitious goals. Your job is to manage expectations, and deliver high-quality work on time and to brief. Our work is exacting and fast paced and we require someone who can flourish under the pressures of this environment and find creative ways to instill their own pace into the team to hit our targets.
Being teachable and coachable.There will be a LOT of learning on the job as we do production differently. There is no place here for know-it-alls. We hire based primarily on attitude.
Being a self-starter. Goals will be clearly defined from the outset. Often, it will be your job to determine what needs to happen, when, and how. The attitude of continually starting things on your own is very important.
Responsibilities:
· Running all wide-format digital print machines effectively – specific training will be provided on all machines.
· Opening / closing the factory
· Preparing and analysing KPI’s daily and optimising
· Oversee Print Production planning.
· Oversee sewing team input and output and plan resources accordingly.
· Managing a team of printers and lead group and 1-2-1 meetings
· Working with management to report progress weekly, establish improvements and schedule.
· Overseeing and carrying regular maintenance on machines such as regluing print beds, cleaning out machines and preparing reports.
· Manage printers’ maintenance and prepare and update maintenance logs
· Prepare print sign off sheet and recalibration of machines regularly.
· Prepare new profiles for printers.
· Prepare colour matching samples for clients.
· Design product templates for our current products with Photoshop

· Ensure SOPs for Printing, artwork, stock and machine maintenance are
· followed daily
· Doing artwork for customers as part of a sale (photoshop)
· Ensure working area is clean and tidy and safe
· • First aid training
· General admin
· Organise employee schedules – holidays, breaks etc to optimise production.
· Communication with customer and studio team regarding orders
· Oversee Faults and report to management.
· Troubleshoot Issues in factory.
· Oversee sustainability targets are hit and prepare new initiatives to reduce the impact on our environment.
· Work with web development team to prepare workflows, automations and systems that work in sync with production.
