Job Description
This role is part of the Reconciliations team within VPL Operations and is responsible for implementation of control systems and quality assurance, in addition to designing and owning management information reporting and rollout of strategic projects for the Reconciliations team. In addition, this role will be responsible for FCA safeguarding compliance across the whole of the VPL Operations Team.
This role involves strategic collaboration with Risk & Compliance, Product & Tech teams, and across all Snr Directors within Operations, in addition to regular reporting to the VPL leadership team and MD. The Director will be responsible for direct line management of one experienced Manager but provide leadership and guidance across the Reconciliations team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
This role will be the primary delegate for the Snr Director, Reconciliations.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
- Experience in managing control systems
- Ability and confidence to communicate at executive levels
- Experience in compliance with and understanding of FCA Safeguarding requirements
- Proven experience producing and interpreting management information (MI) reports
- Demonstrable experience managing large-scale, strategic projects, preferably in a tech-driven environment
- Prior experience in a leadership role, with a track record of managing and developing teams to deliver high performance
- Proven track record of delivering training and support on safeguarding issues and regulations
- Experience in working with Product & Tech teams to prioritize and manage the rollout of projects
- Strong line manager with experience in managing Manager level employees
