Screen Printer
Reports to: Print Shop Manager
Hours: 9 – 5:30pm Monday – Friday, with flexibility to complete shift pattern as required based on 8 hrs subject to business requirements
Established in 1985 TOT Shirts Limited has been at the forefront of providing garment decoration for leading music artists and live performance bands delivering some of the most iconic and striking art to the UK and international market.
Reporting to the Printshop Manager, the position of Screen Printer is required to support an extended team of dedicated printers as part of an extremely busy, high volume dedicated screen print department.
Overview
The position involves the setting and operation of auto MHM screen printer of up to 14 colours, leading a team of up to 4 printers and print shop operatives.
Role & Responsibilities
· Reviewing print schedule and prioritising with the print shop manager daily and weekly print deliverables.
· Reviewing technical print specifications ensuring... requirement materials, inks and consumable are available
· Delegating responsibilities for print set up to team members, ensuring pre-run print checks are completed
· Ensure correct garments are available and checked against print and technical specifications
· Setting and operating screen print machinery.
· Ensure during-run print checks are conducted to ensure consistent print production maintained
· Ensuring all jobs are completed accurately and to specified deadlines.
· Proactive maintenance and upkeep of all equipment, reporting problems to the maintenance manager.
· Ensuring highest levels of quality control are achieved and maintained
· Pre-emptive daily/weekly cleaning routines of all printers
· Ensuring the print area is always maintained and kept clean and tidy
· Ensure sufficient print consumables available to ensure completion of daily print jobs
· Supporting colleagues across print screen department, including deputising, and supporting multiple print assignments
· Ensure effective waste control of excess consumables
· Conduct department print and Health & Safety Training is completed in line with company policy and print requirements
· Ensure print staff development objectives are delivered in-line with Print Manager requests and company requirements
· Raise any print related Quality Control issues as identified
· Support with production of print related management information

Experience:
• Printing: 2 year (preferred)
Work Location: In person
Duties
- Operate screen printing equipment to produce high-quality prints on various materials
- Set up and prepare screens, inks, and other necessary supplies for printing
- Ensure accurate registration and alignment of designs on the printing surface
- Monitor and adjust printing parameters to achieve desired results
- Inspect finished prints for quality and make any necessary adjustments or repairs
The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong attention to detail, excellent hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. They should also possess good communication skills and be able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
