Are you a passionate Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer looking for an exciting new role? Coulter Elite Resourcing is currently looking for an Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to work with one of their well-established and very successful clients based in Croydon, as part of their M&E design team.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to mechanical services design across a variety of sectors, including Educational, Residential, Commercial, and more.
Principle Responsibilities for the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer:
• lead junior engineers with mechanical systems design throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• Undertake detailed site surveys, produce reports, and perform quality inspections.
• Create and review design calculations, technical specifications, and manual drawing mark-ups.
• Liaise directly with clients, attending meetings and providing engineering... support.
• Assist with tender packages, budget costings, and analysis of tender returns.
• Produce detailed mechanical specifications and ensure compliance with Building Regulations and other relevant standards.
• Use CAD systems, including AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam, to produce and review designs.
• Mentoring junior staff and providing technical guidance.
• Maintain and expand client relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
Person Specification:
• Qualified to at least HNC Level or similar in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficient in the use of design software such as Hevacomp, IES VE, AutoCAD, and Revit/BIM.
• Working knowledge of current Building Regulations, CIBSE guides, and British Standards.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work independently when required.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Full UK driving licence.
This is a full-time, permanent Mechanical Design Engineer position, working Monday to Friday, offering a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 (DOE) plus company benefits.
