Job Description
Leadership Responsibilities
This position will oversee a whole team of 22 Day 1 Chemists, while directly managing 6 Group Leaders
Leading direct reports, group leaders and their teams, and serving clients in technical settings, such as laboratories or manufacturing facilities
Demonstrate and promote the company vision
Coordinate scheduling & allocation of responsibilities, and new-hire on-boarding process
Coordinates the overtime and weekend schedule as required.
Development of teambuilding strategies and initiatives
Application of Lean concepts to improve operational excellence
Monitors the day to day operations of QC analyst staff
Coaches, mentors, and supports the group leads and monitors staff productivity
May support group lead professional development
Coordinating and participating with new hire interviews
Laboratory Responsibilities
Coordinates training program
Performs laboratory investigation reports
Performs chemistry testing on drug substances and drug products using HPLC, pH, appearance testing, etc.
Coordinates equipment maintenance and calibration
Performs peer review of data
Uses Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for sample and sample test result tracking and metric reporting
Qualifications
The Ideal Candidate would possess:
QC Analytical experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferrably with release testing
4+ years of cGMP experience
Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
Strong leadership and teambuilding skills and initiative
Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
Experience with LIMS
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Life Sciences, Engineering, or other science related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience
3+ years of previous dynamic team leadership experience
3+ years of laboratory experience (GMP preferred)
Must have at least 2+ years of HPLC experience
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Base compensation is $38-$45 per hour based on experience.
2nd and 3rd shift positions will add a 10% and 15% differential to the base pay.
