Job Description
This is a fulltime, permanent position, working a 37.5 hour week, Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:00.
We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and innovative Scientist. This is a new and exciting opportunity based at our client’s facility, a world class company that develops and produces consumer products based in Liverpool. The opportunity would suit a recent graduate to join as a scientist supporting product development in the Personal care products service area weighted towards tactile and microstructural analysis.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the development of new health care product formulations providing support to the automated equipment and in line off-line analytical equipment.
- Support further automated platforms and health care product development evaluation
- Complete performance evaluation of technologies/formulations within Personal Care Products.
- Complete Force Plate analysis, Small Angle X-ray Scattering (SAXS), particle sizing (LD and DLS), SEM and formulation stability tools.
Qualifications
- Degree or above in a relevant scientific discipline (Biology, Chemistry or Microbiology).
- Some industrial background would be ideal.
- Exposure to tactile and microstructural analysis would be a distinct advantage.
- Structured approach to investigating problems to resolution.
- Ability to organise, Schedule and Plan work with great efficiency and compliance.
- A keen interest in automated systems and their functionality would be advantageous.
- Proven ability to manage Logistics, COSHH, safety and be able to work flexibly.
- Excellent verbal and written skills, both internally and externally. Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships with colleagues driving collaboration.
- Ability to maintain operational effectiveness of automated equipment and monitor / report intervention detail and frequency thereby off setting down time.
- Previous experience in the preparation and review and revision of area documentation e.g., SOP's, Reports, and Protocols would be desirable.
- Experience of delivering process improvement would be desirable.
- Passionate about quality and customer service is essential.
