Job Description
NBCUniversal is looking for a Manager, Staging Operations to join our Rockefeller Center Operations team in New York City! In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Managing all day to day staging (carpentry, props, electric and special effects) needs in a 24/7 live and taped studio production environment
- Responding to studio issues with urgency
- Functioning as the on-site supervisor for all studio IATSE stage employees, USA scenic designers and scenic artists within the NY studios. Support facilities and ensure studio is safe, clean, and maintained.
- Working closely with show tech managers and Staging Director to troubleshoot issues related to set construction and design
- Setting crew schedules for each week
- Oversight of AM/PM crews
- Managing staffing of employees via Storm
Qualifications
- BA/BS preferred
- Minimum 5 years working experience in a studio production environment
- Minimum of 3 years management experience required
- Must have strong working knowledge in set construction, studio lighting systems, and managing remote productions
- Must have excellent client relationships
- Working knowledge of IATSE and USA union contracts and work closely with labor relations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be willing to work in New York
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be able to work in a fast paced, changing, team-oriented environment and possess a “hands on” management style.
- Must be able to work all hours including weekends and overnights and be available 24/7 if needed.
- Manager will be required to be onsite throughout production times
- Excellent management skills with a demonstrated track record for meeting timelines and delivering results

- Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
- This job has a shift of 12am - 8am. Please note the schedule may vary based on business needs.
- This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
