Deliverables consist of providing finance support for the Major Universal Hollywood and Singapore Parks capital projects including monthly project cost reporting and analysis, month-end close requirements, cash flow tracking/forecasting, and other project work within tight deadlines.
Initial duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
• Complete monthly project cost reporting for Major Universal Hollywood and Singapore Parks projects and distribute to management. Work with project managers to update project budgets and communicate all project issues via monthly report.
• Month-end close requirements, including preparing monthly project status and accrual reports, prepare and post applicable charge-outs and earned value journal entries.
• Prepare cash flow projections on a routine basis (weekly, monthly, quarterly). Communicate results and variance explanations to Senior Finance Management.
• Maintain PMWeb (project tracking system) to be consistent with SAP and earned value assumptions.
• Assist in the development of the Annual Operating Plan and Latest Estimates via cash flow projections and other reports.
• Tax compliance tracking and confirmation – Sales/Use Tax and Source Income Tax.
• Review, audit and approve contract drafts, purchase requisitions, and invoices/payment applications related to project. Research vendor payment issues and make recommendations for resolution.
• Assist in the vendor bid and award process including cost comparison and bid review meetings.
Qualifications/Requirements :
• Bachelor’s degree: Finance, Accounting, Business or related field.
• 3-5 Years experience in General accounting principles required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in Excel
Desired Characteristics :
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in both detailed and high-level presentations
• Flexibility to move on short notice from task to task as priorities change
• Proficiency in Power Point, Word, Access and SAP experience a plus
• Working understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
• Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
• Project/capital experience preferred
• Prior project experience in construction, or theme park desired
• Team oriented, collaborative, able to work well with others
Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
