About the Role:
We are partnering with a leading construction consultancy renowned for delivering exceptional major build projects across the UK. Our client specialises in providing expert consultancy services for complex, large-scale projects and is seeking to expand its leadership team with the addition of a National Lead. This pivotal role will drive growth and elevate excellence within the build sector.
The Opportunity:
We are looking for a driven and visionary Project Director to oversee and develop a team of specialists working on major regeneration development projects. In this leadership role, you will spearhead the company's efforts, build a team of experts, and establish yourself as a key industry figure. Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the growth and development of a specialist team delivering large-scale build projects.
• Drive business development by leveraging your existing network and fostering new client relationships.
• Serve as the primary contact for clients, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards.
• Provide strategic direction on project execution, emphasizing quality, sustainability, and best practices.
• Mentor and develop junior team members, creating a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Stay informed on market trends, identifying opportunities for growth and innovation within the sector.
About You:
• You have a proven track record in delivering major build projects from concept to completion.
• You are highly connected in the construction industry, with strong business development and networking abilities.
• You possess demonstrable leadership experience, having successfully built or led teams within a consultancy or construction environment.
• You are passionate about delivering high-quality projects and driving business success.
• You have in-depth knowledge of construction project management, including cost planning and contract administration.
• You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Chartered status (RICS, CIOB, or equivalent) is preferred.
• Extensive experience in delivering major build projects within UK construction consultancies.
• Strong commercial acumen and leadership skills.
