Location: Southeast of England
Working Pattern: 3 days in office per week, 2 days remote
Contract Duration: 6 months (with likely extension)
Rate: £325-£350 per day Inside IR35
Panoramic Associates are currently working with a Local Authority in the Southeast of England to help in the recruitment of an experienced Interim Building Surveyor.
This role will have a particular focus on council owned commercial buildings to ensures that they are complaint, well-maintained, and fit for purpose.
Responsibilities Of The Role
• Deliver building surveying services for council-owned properties, ensuring assets are safe and compliant.
• Manage repairs, replacements, and adaptation projects as part of the council's capital investment program.
• Develop design briefs, feasibility studies, project plans, and tender documents, coordinating closely with contractors and external consultants.
• Oversee contract administration, conduct site visits, and ensure contract... compliance throughout the project life cycle.
• Conduct building and condition surveys, identifying defects and recommending repair solutions.
To Be Successful In The Role, You Will Have
• Experience working within a Local Authority setting.
• Expertise in building surveying.
• Proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD), National Building Specification (NBS), and relevant project management software.
• Strong knowledge of construction regulations, budget management, and sustainability practices.
Next Steps
This role is an initial 6-month contract with potential for extension, £325-£350 per day inside IR35. Office presence is expected 3 days per week, with remote flexibility for the remaining days.
