About Us:

Put our venues centre stage – and your career too.

At the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, we are focused on putting our residents and local businesses at the heart of every service we provide, and the impressive range of events that our team manages, plays a considerable role in generating the essential income we need to support them.

Our prestigious and historic venues, include the Orangery Gallery in Holland Park, Kensington Town Hall and Chelsea Old Town Hall, where we host everything from conferences and weddings, through to high profile product launches, film shoots and a range of all-inclusive community driven events.

So, when you join our Events Team, you’ll work directly with some incredibly high-profile clients, helping to ensure that every event is... an enormous success.

The Role:

In this role, you’ll manage every detail of the events you are allocated.

You’ll liaise directly with clients, suppliers and in-house service teams.

In fact, you’ll become an expert on our venues, being able to advise clients on everything they need to know – right down to the position of the last plug point.

This is a fast-paced environment and, whether you are working on a last-minute booking or a long-term project, you’ll make sure everything runs smoothly – handling front-of-house and back-of-house aspects with the same degree of attention.

Please refer to the Job Description for more information

About You:

We’re looking for someone with experience in the events industry – and, specifically, experience of managing front-of-house.

Calm under pressure and adaptable, you’ll be highly organised, have strong administrative skills and be excellent at working with others.

You’ll be familiar with basic audio-visual aids and already have general fire safety training.

Good IT skills and the ability to manage finances, including issuing invoices and calculating deposits, will be essential.

In return, you can look forward to a package that includes a competitive salary, a high-quality pension scheme and generous annual leave plus bank holidays.

But ultimately, you’ll see this as a chance to create the kind of service you believe every community needs.

Please apply online explaining how you meet the requirements set out in the person specification and job description. CV’s alone will not be considered for this role.

We reserve the right to extend or close this vacancy early without warning subject to the volume of suitable applicants.

Application process

Please do not upload any documents, including CVs/Covering Letters or supporting statements, as these documents will not be reviewed and could result in your application not being shortlisted.

You should describe how you meet the person specification requirements for the position you are applying for in Section G of the application form.
