Job Description – Junior Duty Manager
We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive individual to assume the role of Duty Manager. As a key member of our team, the Duty Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and managing staff across various departments. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service.
4 days, 12 hours a day.
Overtime available
There may be occasional change to working days/night shift cover
Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
· Provide overall leadership during assigned shifts, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all hotel departments.
· Collaborate with department heads to coordinate and optimize hotel services, including housekeeping, front desk, food and beverage, and maintenance.
· Ensure a seamless check-in and check-out process, addressing... guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests.
· Monitor guest feedback and implement corrective measures to enhance guest satisfaction.
· Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service.
· Monitor inbox and ensure guests are responded to in a timely manner.
Staff Management:
· Supervise and support department heads, ensuring staff members are adequately trained and motivated.
· Oversee staff scheduling, ensuring appropriate coverage during peak periods and adjusting staffing levels based on occupancy.
· Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates, share information, and address concerns.
Problem Resolution:
· Address and resolve guest complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
· Handle emergency situations and incidents, coordinating with appropriate personnel and authorities.
· Implement and enforce hotel policies and procedures.
· Oversee security protocols and emergency procedures, ensuring the safety and well-being of guests and staff.
· Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and address potential safety hazards.
Administrative Duties:
· Perform regular audits of guest accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial procedures.
· Handle reservations, room assignments, and other front desk responsibilities as needed.
· Efficiently respond to guest queries and concerns both over the phone and via email in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
· Previous experience in a duty supervisor or similar leadership role within the hospitality industry.
· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
· Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
· Familiarity with hotel management systems and financial processes.
· Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
· The role involves working various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
· Availability to respond to emergency situations outside regular working hours.
