Buildings Manager at The Groucho Club

Job Descrption
The Buildings Manager will ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards, manage all maintenance records, and work closely with our operations team to create a seamless, well-maintained environment for our members and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure the property is well-maintained visually and physically, overseeing all aspects of building and grounds maintenance.
• Lead and support the maintenance team, providing hands-on assistance with minor repairs, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work.
• Manage contractors on-site for maintenance... projects, ensuring timely and high-quality completion.
• Conduct regular room inspections and audits to ensure all areas meet required standards.
• Oversee and maintain appropriate stock levels for all maintenance-related supplies.
• Ensure full compliance with Fire and Health & Safety regulations, working closely with the Health & Safety Committee.
• Monitor and manage PPM schedules (Planned Preventative Maintenance) for all areas, including building systems, fire alarms, and plant equipment.
• Respond to maintenance emergencies and be available for on-call duties outside of standard hours as needed.
Experience:
• Proven experience in a Buildings Manager role within a hospitality, club, or hotel setting.
• Strong technical knowledge in general maintenance tasks (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.).
• Familiarity with Health & Safety standards and best practices.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing a maintenance team and external contractors.
• Ability to work well under pressure and remain composed in challenging situations.
• Proficiency in project management and maintenance tracking tools.
• Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate with various departments.

Pay: £55,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
