Heavy Plant & Equipment Field Service Engineer / Welder

We supply some of the UK`s most exciting and innovative major projects with integrated services, including Hybrid Materials Handlers, Excavators and associated equipment that can reduce fuel use by up to 25 - 35%, we also utilise the latest Intelligent Machine Control GPS systems for our earthworks and quarry operations.
Responsibilities - The focus of the role:
You will be based from our Harlow Essex Depot, reporting to our HME Fleet Manager, along with our team of engineers you will provide service and engineering support to our projects across the UK as part of our on-site presence.
You will maintain, service and repair our fleet of plant machinery whilst maintaining safe working practices at all times. Ensuring that you provide our... projects and our customers the best levels of service, by regular communication with both the project teams and HME Fleet office to update on progress throughout the set activity.
Accountabilities:
• Attending internal & external customers sites to diagnose the reported faults
• Diagnosing the root cause of the reported fault
• Identifying any parts required to carry out the repair so a return visit can be re scheduled
• Completing accurate and timely repair
• Completing the specified documentation (RAMS, Job sheets etc)
• Carry out a post repair test / inspection on the unit to ensure the unit is operating to expected performance levels
Qualifications - Key experience:
• Experience of working with Heavy plant and machinery
• Experience of working on internal & external customers sites
• NVQ level 3 in plant maintenance or equivalent
• Experience of welding & fabrication, hydraulics, electrics
• H&S training carried out in PPE awareness, use of hand tools
• Experience of delivering excellent customer service
• Full driving licence
• Use of field-based diagnosis tools and equipment
• Experience of Liebherr, CAT, Komatsu, Volvo, Case, John Deere, Kalmar
