Diesel Service Technician

At Tubby’s and as a Diesel Service Technician you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our customer fleet of diesel vehicles, ensuring they operate at optimal performance levels. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in diagnostics, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team. Responsibilities
• Interact with Service Advisors to obtain work orders and customer service specific requirements.
• Inspect motor in operation, road test motor vehicle, and test automotive systems and components using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices to diagnose and isolate fault.
• Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of diesel systems including fuel system, brakes, steering and suspension, engine and drive train, emission control and exhaust, cooling and climate control, and electrical and electronic systems using hand tools and other specialized automotive repair equipment.
• Evaluate and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s performance specification.
• Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications, and tune ups.
• Advise customers and/or Service Advisor on work performed, general vehicle condition and future repair requirements.
• Inspect and test mechanical units, such as engines, transmissions, axles, and brake systems, to locate faults and malfunctions.
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions and confirm findings with supervisor or determine whether to repair or replace unit.
• Repair or replace mechanical units or components using hand and power tools.
• Test and adjust units to specifications to proper performance.
Qualifications
• Diesel Service Technician 310T Certification
• Consistently able to work independently
• Intermediate drivability diagnostics
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean abstract
• Strong Communication Skills
• Problem Solving Skills to work independently and with a team
