We are seeking an experienced Mandarin speaking Deputy HR Director to join our organisation. You will partner with stakeholders to drive HR efficiency and deliver high quality and consistent employee experience. The successful candidate should demonstrate sound working knowledge of all HR area with a hands on and personable approach.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as a strategic partner to department head, providing advice and guidance to all departments across the Human Resources remit, including recruitment and selection, performance management, employee relations, payroll and reward and recognition.
• Provide effective leadership throughout the department, maintain up to date knowledge of best practice and suggest initiatives... and schemes to enhance employee proposition.
• Assisting in the training and development of colleagues alongside the Learning and Development manager
• Handle ER related matters and seek advice when required, ensuring company policy and best practice is adopted and matters are communicated to the Director of Human Resources
• Contribute to the strategic direction of the HR function and support change management
Job Requirements:
• Fluency in Mandarin and English (both verbal and written communication skills are essential).
• Extensive experience in managing complex employee relations casework, including dispute resolution, disciplinary actions, grievances, redundancy, and performance management.
• Proven experience in UK employment law, with strong knowledge of legal frameworks and regulations.
• Experience in mergers and acquisitions, including managing employee transitions and integration during organizational changes.
• Experience with redundancy processes, including legal requirements, consultations, and supporting affected employees.
• Solid background in managing payroll, employee benefits, and tax compliance within the UK.
• Proven ability to lead and manage teams, with strong leadership skills, but also able to perform hands-on HR tasks when required.
• Demonstrated ability to balance strategic HR leadership with operational, hands-on involvement.
• CIPD qualification or a degree in Human Resources, Employment Law, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous HR experience within the tech, investment, or IT consultancy sectors is highly advantageous.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
