Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Graduate Assistant to support our educational programmes. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with children, particularly those with special educational needs. The Graduate Assistant will play a vital role in assisting educators, providing care and support to children, and contributing to an inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities
• Assist in the delivery of educational programmes and activities for children, ensuring a supportive and engaging atmosphere.
• Provide care and supervision for toddlers, promoting their development through play and structured activities.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to foster positive relationships and ensure the needs of each child are met.
• Support children with autism and other special educational needs by implementing tailored strategies to enhance their learning experience.
• Collaborate with educators to develop and adapt... instructional materials that cater to diverse learning styles.
• Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in special education and child care.
Requirements
• Experience working with children, particularly in a care or educational setting.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children and adults alike.
• Knowledge or experience in toddler care is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with working with individuals on the autism spectrum or those requiring special education support is an advantage.
• A genuine passion for educating and nurturing young minds, demonstrating patience and empathy in all interactions.
• Relevant qualifications or coursework in education, psychology, or a related field would be beneficial but not essential.
