Car Inspections Handover Operative
£26000 per annum
We are looking for a Handover Inspections Operative to support our logistics single /multiple move activity. This includes inspections and audits.
Purpose of Job:
Carry out system checks to establish status of GCS cars due handover. Ensure that all cars are prepared to the required standard and are made available in a timely manner in readiness for appointments. This includes checking fuel/charge levels and ensuring that all release paperwork is present.
Maintain constant communication with GCSappointments & Internalsales admin team.
Due to the brand image and customer expectations, vehicles must always be prepared to the highest standards to ensure brand image and residual values are maintained you will be expected to drive quality from the front end of the process.
Reports to: Supervisor
Controls: Operational Management, Planning, BMW & BCAL Systems.
Responsibilities:
Working closely with multiple parties to ensure as a... team we deliver a 5-star service that exceeds customer expectations. To liaise effectively with colleagues inside BCAL and BMW to reduce costs and improve customer service.
Liaise with GCS appointments team ensuring all vehicles are processed and made available to achieve lead times.
Ensure that all activities on and off site meet the Health and Safety requirements as outlined by the BCAL H&S team and BMW.
Core Duties:
Liaise with BMW stakeholders and Suppliers to ensure our ability to deliver a service is not compromised.
Inspect vehicles using the Inspect Pro App via iPad this will include a six-point check (vehicle arrival) an NVC (New Vehicle Handover) EPTI Return vehicle handover inspection.
To load all relevant information from vehicle inspection into computer systems/complaints portal.
Support and provide cover for offsite group locations.
Work and liaise with Customer Service Team, and Internal Sales Admin.
Ensure recovery of costs for all work performed are recorded. To include any Ad-Hoc vehicle moves carried out by BCAL.
To ensure that the accuracy and quality of work and communication to customers both internal and external of the service is of a consistently high standard.
The adherence to all health and safety measures ensuring all protective clothing and equipment are used correctly and that safe systems of work are always followed, and a clean working environment is maintained taking responsibility for your work area.
To attend departmental meetings both internal and external to support and provide updates and share information.
Undertake other duties as directed in line with the level of the job function.
Adopt and promote a good team ethic within all BCAL departments.

Significance of Role:
A critical role in the successful delivery of the BCAL service as this role provides the oversight of multiple activities.
