Guy Carpenter is seeking a highly motivated individual with relevant experience in broking or underwriting who is eager to explore development opportunities. Working within a supportive team structure, you will collaborate closely with clients, underwriters, and other stakeholders to negotiate and place reinsurance contracts in a truly global marketplace. What You Can Expect:
• Meet with clients to understand their needs and foster strong relationships.
• Assist in renewing contracts for clients, placing business with client-approved reinsurers.
• Collaborate with the analytics team to create tailored client solutions.
•... Negotiate with reinsurers on pricing, terms, and conditions to achieve favourable outcomes for clients.
• Support the production of placement slips, cover notes, and contracts as needed.
• Monitor contract documentation, ensuring timely flow of materials and managing mid-term requirements. Contribute significantly to the team's Sales & Business Development strategy, including RFPs and tenders.

We Will Count on You To:
• Visit existing clients and new prospects as needed, which may involve international travel.
• Lead the risk identification process.
• Provide daily service to the network of GC offices and clients for your specific product line, ensuring their risk management needs are met. Implement and maintain a quality post-sales service plan where appropriate.
• Create and present renewal proposals to existing clients and participate in presentations to prospective clients.
• Stay informed about changing market conditions and communicate major developments affecting various types of coverage to client executives, carriers, brokers, and clients.
• Identify the need for new products and propose solutions to brokers, clients, and carriers.
• Become proficient in all MMC systems and software, adhering to Guy Carpenter's professional standards and Marsh McLennan's excellence protocols.
What You Need to Have:
• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as economics, insurance, risk management, or finance, and/or a Chartered Insurance Institute qualification (Cert CII, Dip CII, ACII).
• Proven experience as an insurance/reinsurance broker or underwriter, preferably with a focus on casualty.
• Experience with treaty reinsurance is a significant advantage.
• Strong data analysis and statistical skills, with the ability to present data effectively.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills for effective interaction with clients and reinsurers.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, with a detail-oriented approach and strong organizational skills.
• Capability to work effectively with colleagues, clients, and industry leaders at all levels.
• Ability to identify and manage potential conflicts of interest while handling confidential information with discretion and integrity.
• Capacity to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
What Makes You Stand Out?
• In-depth knowledge of the casualty insurance market, including key players, products, and emerging trends.
• Confidence in understanding associated risks and structuring (re)insurance risk transfer solutions.
• Ability to identify market insights and trends, using that knowledge to advise clients on underwriting and portfolio management strategies.
• Additional language skills are a plus.
