An exciting position has opened up at Priorclave for a new autoclave fitter to join our team on a permanent basis. The position includes a variety of tasks allowing a successful applicant to use multiple skills whilst assembling the machines.
We are an outer London based manufacturer with over 30 years of experience in the industry, we design and build in house specialised equipment that are sold throughout the world.
Having mechanical engineering understanding would be a great advantage for this job role. Both mechanical and electrical experience would be an advantage however, having both skills is not a necessity as training will be developed on the job in this role.
Key responsibilities:
- As part of our team your role would involve assembling machines from component level up to the stage of operational testing and dispatch.
- Braising pipework for the autoclaves.
- Wiring various components onto the autoclaves.
- Various other manual labour task which would including heavy... lifting to enable assembly and general factory storage.
- Working with other departments to develop items if ever required.
- Use of health and safety equipment and follow health and safety responsibilities within the job role.
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Some pipework and/or wiring skills are required for this role. Having both would be an advantage however, if only one skill is currently possessed the other would be taught onsite through on the job training. You will be asked to demonstrate your skills in the interview process.
- Use of basic hand tools and measuring tools.
- Good time keeping and punctuality
- Attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Motivated personality with want and ability to learn, work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to work in a varied and busy environment within the factory.
You may also have the opportunity to become a first aider or fire marshal, this training would be provided offsite and funded by the company.
Working Week:
Monday-Thursday 07:30 – 16:00
Friday 07:30 – 15:00
Overtime as required @ 1 ½ times rate. Overtime may fall on hours following the normal working day and can also take place on Saturday mornings 7:30am – 11:30am.
Position: Full-time permanent position
Paid hours per week: 39
Breaks: 15 minute morning break and 30 minutes lunch Monday to Friday. Additional afternoon 15 minute break when working overtime.
Holidays: 28 days PA including bank holidays
Hourly rate (Paid monthly): £13
