Join Us in Building the Future of Clean Energy!
At the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), we are at the forefront of innovation and sustainability, spearheading the Sizewell C project - a 3.2-gigawatt power station that will provide low-carbon electricity to approximately 6 million homes. Sizewell C is set to become a pivotal component of our energy landscape, delivering reliable, clean electricity for at least the next 60 years. As we move into... this exciting phase, we invite you to be part of this monumental journey.
We are currently seeking a Marine Section Engineer to join our dedicated team in London - St. Martin's Court. As a crucial member of the Marine & Tunnelling Portion within the Engineering and Technical team, you will play a vital role in developing construction methods, providing both temporary and permanent works design inputs, and establishing onshore support hubs for the offshore installation of reinforced concrete (RC) permanent works structures in the North Sea.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead a section of the Marine Works, ensuring all planning, updates, and engineering controls are meticulously managed.
Assist in site investigations and the implementation of critical projects.
Develop key consenting and licensing support documents.
Contribute to construction method development and undertake constructability reviews.
Prepare risk assessments, method statements, and maintain rigorous quality assurance.
Support the project delivery team by providing expert technical support and producing accurate site records and productivity reports.
So why not you?
What We're Looking For:
A minimum of a 2:2 BEng (Hons) or BSc (Hons) in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
Prior experience in major civil, structural, or offshore projects, preferably in a contractor-led environment.
Proficiency with CAD software (2D/3D) and standard Microsoft Office applications.
Strong communication skills, a proactive approach to teamwork, and a proven ability to collaborate effectively.
Eligibility to work in the UK and ideally, a full UK driver's license.
Desirable Attributes:
Professional accreditation or progress towards it.
Experience with DCO and MMO License applications, and familiarity with CDM regulations [2015].
Marine operation planning experience and/or experience working nearshore/offshore.
Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) certification.
Why Join Us?
By joining CWA, you'll be at the heart of a project that's setting benchmarks in sustainability and engineering excellence. You'll work alongside industry experts and contribute to a pioneering project with long-lasting impacts. The role initially offers a vibrant working environment in London with occasional travel to suppliers and project locations, transitioning to East Anglia for site-specific activities in the future.
Take the next step in your career and become an integral part of our mission to power millions of homes with clean, reliable energy. Click to apply and start your journey with the Civil Works Alliance today!
