Job Title: Admin Assistant/Receptionist

Job Overview:
We are looking for a reliable and organised Admin Assistant to join our tuition company. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring that both students and tutors have a positive experience. You will be responsible for handling various administrative tasks, assisting with scheduling, and supporting client inquiries. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for education.
Key Responsibilities:
• Customer Service & Support:
• Act as the first point of contact for students, parents, and tutors.
• Answer phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Provide information regarding tuition services, pricing, schedules, and availability.
• Scheduling & Coordination:
• Maintain and update class schedules for students and tutors.
• Coordinate with tutors... and students to arrange lesson times.
• Handle rescheduling, cancellations, and other changes as needed.
• Track tutor availability and student attendance.
• Administrative Duties:
• Prepare and organize student records, enrollment forms, and lesson materials.
• Process student registrations, payments, and invoices.
• Maintain the office filing system and update databases.
• Assist in preparing reports related to attendance, student performance, and tutor evaluations.
• Office Management:
• Order and manage office supplies, ensuring the workspace is well-organized and equipped.
• Maintain a clean and professional office environment.
• Handle mail and other office correspondence.
• Marketing & Communications Support:
• Assist with social media management and updating the company website.
• Help create newsletters and marketing materials to promote services and events.
• Support marketing campaigns and community outreach programs as needed.
• Event Coordination:
• Assist in planning and coordinating events such as open houses, parent-tutor meetings, and workshops.
• Prepare event materials and ensure smooth logistics for both virtual and in-person events.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as an administrative assistant, office assistant, or in a similar role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with office equipment.
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a busy environment.
• Customer service experience, ideally in the education or tutoring sector, is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience in an educational or tutoring environment.
• Basic knowledge of social media and digital marketing tools.

Pay: £9.50-£11.44 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 30 per week
Schedule:
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability
• Weekends only
Education:
• GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:
• Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
• Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
Language:
