Job Descrption
A Dog Groomer Assistant supports the primary groomer in ensuring pets receive high-quality grooming services. Responsibilities include bathing, drying, brushing, and preparing dogs for grooming, as well as maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The assistant must have a passion for animals, good communication skills, and be able to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to handling pets.
• Responsibilities*
- Assist the groomer with bathing, drying, and brushing dogs.
- Handle pets with care and ensure their safety and comfort throughout the grooming process
- Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and requirements
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the grooming area
- Monitor pets for any health issues or abnormalities and report findings to pet owners or veterinary staff
• Skills*
- Experience in customer service... within a pet-related environment
- Proficiency in animal care techniques and handling various breeds of pets
- Knowledge of basic veterinary care practices is advantageous
- Ability to lift heavy objects when necessary for pet handling and grooming operations
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £12.50-£13.50 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
