Job Descrption
Welcome to the AM Sports Academy. Our mission is to inspire children to participate in sport – to learn new skills, to develop them to the best of their ability and to achieve their greatest potential. We’re passionate about creating the ideal environment for children to enjoy the start of their sporting journey – wherever it may take them.
We looking for a candidate to start from Tuesday 3rd January 2023 in a full time apprenticeship position for up to 40 hours per week. The working days are Monday - Friday. Our main working hub is SW19 8EJ.
Apprentices Content will support in:
- Developing a coaching philosophy.
- Understanding coaching methods and learning styles.
- Understanding how wider issues impact coaching.
- Developing participant profiles.
- Plan, deliver and review PE curriculums and extracurricular sports activities.
- Understanding schools as organisations.
- Developing knowledge of education standards, trends, frameworks and contemporary... influences.
- Receiving training to develop knowledge, skills and behaviours (KSBs).
- Build a portfolio of evidence under the guidance of a tutor.
- Gain work experience in a coaching environment under the guidance of the employer.
End-point Assessment Gateway
Apprentices must:
- Submit a project outline in preparation for a project presentation (500 words).
- Submit a coaching session outline and risk assessment in preparation for a practical observation with questioning (750 words).
- Submit the portfolio of evidence developed on- programme.
- The portfolio will not be directly assessed but will underpin the professional discussion.
End-point Assessment
- Assessment method 1: Work based project and presentation with questioning.
- Assessment method 2: Practical observation with questioning.
- Assessment method 3: Professional discussion underpinned by a portfolio.

Pay: Up to £998.40 per month
