The Role
Reporting into the Group Head of Health & Safety, the successful Health and Safety Manager will join a very strong and long-standing team with a wealth of knowledge and PureGym experience. The Health and Safety team are centrally positioned within the business and work alongside many other departments and stakeholders.
As a Health & Safety Manager within PureGym, the successful postholder will be responsible for the compliance... performance across multiple UK sites as well as Group Markets.
Please note, whilst the primary location of this position will be remote, the successful candidate will be required to travel to our sites across London and our South region.
Responsibilities include:
• Developing health and safety policies across the full estate.
• Managing, planning, and conducting risk assessments (general and fire)
• Highlighting significant findings and recommend control measures including remedial actions.
• Responding to all formal enforcement challenges related to health and safety, managing the investigation, and leading the company response.
• Managing Primary Authority partnerships and obtain assured advice on operational policies and procedures.
• Undertaking health and safety audits to support the objectives and company vision.
• Dealing with miscellaneous health and safety related compliance issues.
The Person
• Previous experience as a health and safety / fire risk assessor
• A NEBOSH certificate in general Health and Safety, and a recognized fire safety qualification is essential for this role.
• Full clean driving license, with flexibility to travel when required.
• Sound knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
• A team player who has an engaging style.
• Calm, patient and assertive, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Capable of acquiring and applying detailed legal, technical, and regulatory information.
