Front End Developer
Leeds HQ (Remote first, UK only)
£30k – £50k DOE
WRK digital have partnered exclusively with a rapidly growing digital agency in Leeds to find a Front End Developer to join their Shopify development team.
As a Front End Developer, you will be helping deliver market-leading ecommerce services to retail clients throughout Europe, delivering technical and marketing expertise to maximise their return on investment.
We are looking to speak to a range of experience for this role, the focus here is finding the right person with the right attitude – team player, great problem solver, good attention to detail, and keen to learn and develop inside a challenging and rewarding environment.
The Role –
– Building and extending in-house Shopify themes and delivering extensions (e.g. Checkout Validation, Custom Discounts)
– Improving & maintaining website performance and accessibility
– Clearly documenting ... educating stakeholders on new features or changes to the platform
– Assessing the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs in Shopify
– Harmonious collaboration both internally and externally
– Keeping up to date with Shopify technologies and tooling
About You –
– Solid experience and understanding of tech such as HTML, CSS, and JS
– Embrace best practices for SEO
– Good Understanding of package management (npm) and build tools (gulp)
– React, Typescript
Bonus Skills –
– Confidently use Shopify’s Admin and Storefront API’s (GraphQL, REST)
– Exposure to custom Shopify App development and Shopify’s Polaris
– Have some experience with Figma
– Experience with command line tools and specifically the Shopify CLI
– Commercial experience with Shopify Liquid
– A history of championing coding standards
– Experience with some legacy JS libraries

– £30k – £50k depending on experience
– Remote working (UK only)
