Founding Frontend Developer – Splitzy Location : London / Remote Start Date : November 2024 - January 2025 Reporting to : CEO About Splitzy Splitzy is revolutionising group payments, and making it easier than ever to manage shared expenses. With our platform about to go live, we’re ready to take things to the next level—and we’re looking for a Founding Frontend Developer to help drive this evolution. Role Overview As the Founding Frontend Developer , you’ll have a crucial role in refining the existing frontend, enhancing performance, and introducing new features that make Splitzy even more user-friendly. You’ll work closely with our backend team to ensure seamless integration and play an active part in shaping the frontend architecture as the product scales. This isn’t just about coding—it’s about making impactful decisions that will guide the future of our... platform. Key Responsibilities : Lead the refinement and optimisation of our frontend using React Native , Vite.js , and TypeScript across iOS , Android , and web. Collaborate with design and product teams to roll out new features and elevate the user experience, working from Figma prototypes. Ensure smooth integration with backend services via REST APIs , delivering a seamless app experience. Continuously optimise app performance and streamline deployment with tools like EAS . Play a key role in evolving the frontend architecture as we grow and scale. Required Skills : Expertise in React Native , TypeScript , and Vite.js , with experience building high-quality mobile apps for iOS and Android . Strong experience in integrating frontend with backend services (e.g., REST APIs ). A keen eye for design, with the ability to translate Figma prototypes into smooth, polished interfaces. Proficiency in performance optimisation and understanding of cross-platform challenges. Bonus Skills : Familiarity with languages like GoLang and backend technologies such as GRPC , PostgreSQL and AWS services is a plus. Why Splitzy?
