Role Overview:
The QA Automation Engineer will provide in-depth quality assurance contributions for our client's applications supporting the automation API testing and WEB UI testing. The engineer needs to have a strong Java programming skills and will develop test scripts on our Java frameworks using Selenium, Cucumber, REST Assured API for a B2C multimarket ecommerce powered by SAP Commerce, he/she will implement and execute automation/manual tests and ensure that we deliver the highest quality services to our clients. This is a full-time working position, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm GMT.
Responsibilities:
• Development of new WEB UI and API test scripts Java based projects using Selenium, REST Assured and Cucumber BDD
• Integration of Automation scripts into CI/CD pipeline releases
• Expand and maintain API Postman collections
• Bug Fixing, Code reviews, PR merges of Java based Automation projects
• Maintain automation suite across different environments and make it reliable for different countries
• Manual validation of the failures and script update when necessary
• Raising accurate and detailed defects and issues on Jira
• Collaborating with the team providing input for services backlog, sprint planning, story development, testing strategies, demos, and team retrospective and building a trustful relationship with product owners, developers, business analysts, operations and other team members About the candidate:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or similar degree.
• 4+ years of experience with Java application development
• 3+ years of experience in Automation testing using Selenium Webdriver, Cucumber BDD or API Automated testing
• Worked with Ecommerce platforms (background knowledge in order workflow, product catalogue, payments)
• Good communication is key. Very good soft skills to clearly align with the team and explain the day-to-day activities to other developers, QA teams and Client's managers.
• Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables, whilst being comfortable and adaptive working in shifted hours
• Good understanding of enterprise infrastructure and application components (network, application and database servers, storage, computing, etc.) and working knowledge of source code repository tools using Git, Bitbucket, etc. Reply is an Equal Opportunities Employer and committed to embracing diversity in the workplace.
