Job Descrption
A fast-growing renewable energy business is seeking an Angular and Node.js developer. The company focuses on solar panel chips, data feeds, and a carbon offsetting crypto token, all of which are managed through a user-friendly platform. These innovations help customers significantly reduce their bills.
As a Mid-level Software Engineer working with Angular, Node.JS and Python, you'll play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and quality control of various products within the firm's digital customer experience platform. You'll drive the goal of fully automated, cloud-native software delivery, enabling speed and true agility in product development.
You should have experience with the full stack of modern, scalable, and resilient software projects, ideally cloud-hosted and Internet-facing. Your responsibilities will include participating in the design, development... and deployment of secure services and APIs for our software applications. Key tasks include:
- Developing modular and scalable web applications using Angular 17, Node.JS , Angular Material, SCSS, and TypeScript.
- Utilizing modern technologies such as Nest.js, Node.js, Angular 17, and Python to build scalable and maintainable server-side solutions.
- Containerizing back-end services using Docker for seamless deployment and scalability.
- Staying up-to-date on the latest security trends, threats, and vulnerabilities, and proactively recommending and implementing security enhancements to mitigate risks.
- Ensuring that security requirements are integrated into the design and development process from the outset and implementing security best practices and protocols to protect sensitive data.
These Mid-level Angular, Node.JS, Python, and AWS roles offer up to £75,000 plus bonus and package.
The company offers a remote-first working approach.
Experience required for the Mid-level Angular, Node.JS and Python Roles:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in full-stack development.
- Strong understanding of TypeScript and its benefits for writing type-safe and maintainable code.
- Strong experience with Angular 17, Angular Material, SCSS, and TypeScript.
- Familiarity with Python.
- Experience with SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and database design principles.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker for packaging and deploying applications.
- Knowledge of security best practices, protocols, and standards (e.g., OWASP Top 10, TLS, OAuth).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Adaptability and willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities in a startup environment.
