Job Title: HSE Co-Ordinator
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £36,575 per anum
Working Hours: Full Time – 35 Hours
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday
Location: London / Hybrid

The difference you will make as a HSE Co-Ordinator

The HSE Co-ordinator for Property Services will work closely with the HSE team and other Senior RPS Business Managers to co-ordinate all HSE processes and drive continual improvement. You will work collaboratively across all business streams and report on business compliance with all HSE related policies and procedures.

About you

We are looking for someone with:
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety or working... towards.
• P400 Asbestos Qualification or equivalent.
• Minimum NEBOSH Certificate accompanied by relevant experience.
• Membership of relevant professional body e.g. IOSH, IIRSM etc.

Strategy and Service Development
• Assist the Head of HSE and HSE Advisors in Riverside Property Services to implement the overall strategy for health, safety and environmental sustainability improvement across the business area.
• To support the implementation of the delivery of the Riverside / Riverside Property Services Health and Safety and Environmental Policies.
• Promote good health, safety, and environmental practices across all Riverside activities.
• Assist in the delivery of standardised systems and procedures for the effective management of the organisations health, safety and environmental performance. Including ISO45001 and ISO14001.

Service Delivery:
• Maintain and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in line with targets, including incident, near miss, training, face fit testing, risk assessment compliance, asbestos compliance and lone worker safety device usage.
• Monitor, review and critically analyse HSE performance information to ensure the information is accurate and achieve business targets and objectives.
• Collate data, update reports and produce management reports.
• Manage the day to day running and monitoring of the team’s channels and mailbox – this may include managing access, first point of contact for any enquires, run reports.
• Collating monthly HSE communications in readiness to communicate to the business – This may include KPI reports, changes to Safe Systems of Work, safety alerts etc
• Manage the HSE team SharePoint site – set up file structure and monitor team members file documents correctly.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and collaborate with the HSE team to develop and apply a long-term plan to enhance Company HSEE performance.
• Liaise with HR to set up a new employee on-boarding process for safety.
• Support the development of the Business’ Management System.
• Assists in the implementing and maintaining of the certification of ISO14001, ISO45001 and PAS99
• Manage the day-to-day operations of asbestos compliance including booking in of removals, surveys and make-safes.
• Provide technical information on asbestos reports, where requested.
• Manage Safe Contractor and onboarding processes for new contractors.

Other Information
Travel to site locations across all parts of southern region (Leicester to London). This role will be predominantly on-site with some flexibility for homeworking.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety or working towards.
• P400 Asbestos Qualification or equivalent.
• Minimum NEBOSH Certificate accompanied by relevant experience.
• Membership of relevant professional body e.g. IOSH, IIRSM etc.
• Competent in audit and inspection processes including report writing and development of action plans.
• Experience of working with Health and Safety and Environmental management systems including ISO45001 and ISO14001
• Competent in the use of IT Platforms such as Microsoft Word and Excel
• High attention to detail.

Desirable
• Internal Auditor (14001/45001) (desirable).
• IEMA Environmental Management Certificate (desirable)
• Experience in Care and Support environment
• Fire Safety qualification
