Jimmy Garcia Catering is one of London’s leading, owner operated special event caterers that work in prestigious London venues such as the Roundhouse, National Gallery, Kensington Palace and Somerset House. The company specialises in catering for creative events attracting the world’s pre-eminent brands and organisations for dinners,
receptions, family days and conferences, exhibitions and product launches.
We are firmly on the path to growth and looking for an ambitious sales professional specialising in wedding and private clients to join our thriving team, reporting to our Head of Sales and based in Battersea, SW London.
The successful candidate will have strong influencing and closing skills and a track record of achieving consistent sales. You will make a positive first impression and will have excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to nurture relationships... with a wide variety of stakeholders both internally and externally.

Key responsibilities include:
• Responding to inbound enquiries for weddings & private events as well as helping, where possible, the corporate sales team.
• Proactively soliciting enquiries in an efficient and timely manner from wedding planners, agents and venues.
• Advising clients on suitable venues, appropriate food & beverage options and converting enquiries.
• Creating bespoke and packaged service proposals and quotations.
• Scheduling and conducting site visits for all levels of private and corporate clients.
• Entering enquiries accurately on to the venue’s CRM and booking system (EventWorks).
• Negotiating contract terms with clients with assistance from the Head of Sales and Managing Director as required.
• Hosting food tastings and site visits.
• Preparation and issuing of contracts.
• Briefing/handing over to the operations team once event contracted.
• Account management and relationship building to grow accounts organically.
• Liaising with and recommending our venue partners and assisting with defining clients’ requirements as necessary.
• Represent JGC in the special event market at promotional events.
Key Skills & Experience
• The successful candidate is likely to have at least 3 years’ experience of catering & event venue sales or relevant event industry sales experience, for example 5* hotels and venues.
• A demonstrable experience of achieving sales targets of circa £1M per annum.
• Ambitious, confident, and looking for the next career move.
• Excellent interpersonal skills both face-to-face and over the phone.
• Strong influencing and negotiating skills.
• Commercially aware and customer-focused.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to earn respect of both clients and colleagues.
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience of EventWorks.
• CRM beneficial.
Salary: c. £36 - £40K basic salary according to experience + generous commission package based on gross profit, + benefits including, training, wellbeing programme, company socials, and more.
