Primary care physicians to work within a multi-disciplinary team to
provide medical care and to address social determinants of health while
using, or being willing to learn, harm reduction and trauma informed care
approaches.
Our population includes those who experience barriers to care; those
impacted by homelessness, mental illness, addiction, poverty, language
barriers, and complex and/or chronic health conditions.
Our physicians are supported by a corporate service department, on a
salaried model (no OHIP billings or billing expenses), ensuring time
available for patient appointments that address complex, interesting
medical and social issues, without administrative overhead to be
concerned about.
Physicians are dedicated to one clinic on a regular basis and provide
coverage to other physicians in the Health Centre during periods of
absence. All staff at the health centre work to full scope and... knowledge
transfer and skill enhancement among practitioners is high.
qualifications
• Licensed to provide MD care in Ontario.
• Professional Liability Coverage valid in Ontario.
• Experience or interest in using harm reduction, rather than
abstinence-based, approaches.
• Experience working with marginalized communities.
