Quality Control Manager - International Team
In this role, you will be working within the international department and their U.S clients. You will be responsible for the complete administration of the quality control procedure within this department and the movement of the jobs once finished using the internal company ESKO workflow. On-the-job training will be provided, with the expectation to learn all aspects of the role in a timely manner and receive more autonomy as the training progresses. Linguistic skills are advantageous.
Job Summary:
As the Quality Control Manager, you will have complete responsibility for the administration process of the quality control checking procedure for the International Department. You will be able to work in a fast-paced environment by meeting all client and internal deadlines. You will steadily acquire knowledge of a range of brands and will be able to advise/educate other staff members within the studio on applicable guidelines and technical... printing requirements.

Overall Responsibility:
• Responsible for the complete administration of the quality control checking procedure including:
-External client checks
-Admin and filing related to external checks
-Check designs and artworks for compliance with existing (brand) guidelines and printer
specifications
-Artwork checks at every stage
-Any other quality control related tasks
• To learn the detailed knowledge promptly to be able to advise and train other members of staff within the studio on the content of the following guidelines: Barcodes & QR-Codes, Nutrition and Fish- and Meat Sustainability.
• To learn the knowledge promptly to be able to advise other members of staff within the studio on the content of the following other guidelines and rules: Allergens, Food Labelling rules, industry standard logos such as Marine Stewardship Council, Fairtrade and Vegetarian logos, and all private brands.
• To be accountable for checking/proofreading all design, text, layout and colour aspects within artworks against brand guidelines and print specs for all types of U.S and multi-lingual language food and non-food packaging.
• To check the technical requirements of the files in line with printer specifications, ensuring accurate key repro elements are correct.
• Confirm the precision and accuracy of work at first and final stage by ensuring that all jobs comply with existing brand guidelines, checking against all aspects of the design, layout, font and colours.
• Feedback to internal account managers and artworkers on all aspects of the design and concisely advise on any required amendments.
• Converse with clients efficiently and politely by email and provide written reports for external checking tasks.
• In time, to be familiar and advise clients on costs for our services, if required.
• Join internal pre-production meetings to assist with guideline legal requirements and give technical feedback.
• To understand the ESKO process and efficiently use the system.
• To provide additional cover for the European QC Team if needed.
Job Skills and qualifications:
• Solid print knowledge, understands all limitations of different print processes
• Educated to at least Degree level qualification
• At least 2 years relevant work experience
• Creative/branding industry experience is advantageous
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Excellent attention to detail skills
• Experience in MS Office packages (Outlook/Word/Excel)
• Experience is using mac OS
• Experience with using internal company workflows is advantageous
• You will be able to balance and own your own workload
• Adobe software experience is advantageous
