About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Land Surveyor to join our busy Croydon and Sunderland Land Survey team
Your role will include planning, undertaking and supervising site works, working alongside senior management to help develop the business by fostering and maintaining good client relationships.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Working in close collaboration with the survey teams across the UK to manage workloads and share resources.
• Planning and managing site and office works.
• Ensuring that surveys conform to our standard and undertaking robust QA of data
• Training and mentoring junior staff
• Building and maintaining good client relationships
• Advocating the team’s services internally to our framework managers and technical leads
Essential
Preferred
Qualification
• Under / postgraduate degree in surveying or civil engineering
• A current CSCS card or equivalent.
• SMSTS
• Full Membership of or working towards chartership with either the RICS or ICES
Experience
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in surveying - related industries
• Experience across a range of survey disciplines including topographic surveying, engineering surveying and scan to BIM
• Knowledge of project management
• Experience working in rail environments.
• Experience working in airfield environments.
• UAV pilot experience
Skills
• Excellent knowledge of survey methods and techniques
• Highly effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and organisational skills
• A collaborative nature, demonstrating strong relationships with partner companies in the supply chain.
• Be able to work well with and influence teams
