This role will involve overseeing customs and air freight processes, managing air freight space, and ensuring continued high level of service while always driving down costs.

Salary: Negotiable Depending on Experience

Hours: 9:00am-5:30pm, Mon-Fri

What You'll Do
• Set up and manage the ETSF, AEO and MOU.
• Manage end to end import and export processes and customs entries.
• Liaise with air freight partners for booking space.
• Manage team of customs clerks to ensure smooth running of the customs processes.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant import and export regulations.
• Act as the main contact point for customs related matters for the business.
• Design processes and build SOPs, circulate to the business and ensure they are being followed.
• Obtain required air freight space, monitoring volumes to ensure no delays or waste of space.
• Liaise with air freight providers to drive down cost and improve service.
• Manage carriers and handling agents to minimize issues and combat... exceptions.
• Report to the business on various topics, such as AKE fill rate and airfreight costs.
• Work with analysts within the team to create relevant and impactful reporting.

What we're looking for:
• Expert knowledge of imports, exports, and trans-shipments
• Familiar with multiple customs systems
• Strong commercial focus and ability to negotiate
• Experience creating and discharging transit docs (T1 etc.)
• Strong knowledge of customs processes and systems
• Proven track record of building and leading a team
• Experience with bonded goods and bonded clearance
