Job Descrption
The main areas of responsibility will be to develop and manage, in conjunction with the Transportation Manager, the preparation, agreement and monitoring of Transport and public realm policies including the Council’s Long Term Transport Strategy and Local Implementation Plan.
The postholder will be responsible for developing policy, formulating bids and work programmes and monitoring outputs and outcomes including financial monitoring.
The post holder will maximise inward investment from the private and public sectors to support transport and infrastructure projects and wider transport objectives.
Applicants should have a comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of the key principles and practices of transport planning schemes including road safety, traffic management, bus priority, parking, cycling and pedestrian... provision
