Job Descrption
As a Warehouse Attendant your key responsibilities include:
• Accepting / delivering Cargo & Mail whilst verifying piece count
• Ensuring that associated paperwork is correct, and the shipment is correctly marked and labelled
• Storing Cargo & Mail in appropriate warehouse locations, reporting as required
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Building up and breaking pallets
• Physically handling cargo and mail manually or by machine
• Receiving and answering enquiries from the public, other airlines, agencies and Company employees
• Delivering transshipments to other airlines when required
• Drive company vehicles when required
• Accept and process Hazardous/Restricted material shipments in accordance with Company and... Government Agency regulations.
About You
The ideal candidate for this role will have previous Cargo Warehouse experience and hold a full valid UK driving licence. In addition, you will have the following skills and experience:
• Good verbal and written skills, with a high level of accuracy
• Must be a team player and represent Air Canada in a professional manner
• Ability to work under pressure, plan workload and work to deadlines with minimal supervision
• Must have an ability to use tact, good judgement and initiative
• Be able to secure an airside ID pass
• Be fully flexible able to work both days and nights.
Desirable
• Current Forklift licence
• DfT Security trained
