Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Receive, handle, and store all warehouse goods and materials in accordance with established procedures and safety standards.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Perform regular stock checks and inventory audits to maintain an accurate inventory.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as... forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment by adhering to housekeeping standards.
• Ensure the proper labeling and storage of goods to optimize space and efficiency.
• Assist in loading and unloading deliveries, verifying the quality and quantity of goods received.
• Monitor the condition of the warehouse equipment and perform routine maintenance or report any issues to the Warehouse Manager.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines, reporting any potential hazards or accidents immediately.
• Support the Warehouse Manager in daily operations and provide updates on warehouse activities and performance.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth warehouse and logistics operations.
• Perform any additional duties as required to support the operational needs of the warehouse.
The Person
• One or more years of experience in a warehouse or similar environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklift license preferred but not essential).
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy objects.
• Basic knowledge of inventory management systems.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and workload.
