We are currently seeking a highly organised and proactive Purchasing/Sales Supervisor to manage purchasing, stock control, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers , customers and internal teams.
Job Description:
The Purchasing/Sales Supervisor will be responsible for placing and completing purchase/sales orders, verifying supplier invoices, managing stock levels, and assisting the sales team when needed. This role requires proficiency in Sage software and strong communication skills to coordinate with the Technical Manager and other departments. The ideal candidate will also handle phone inquiries and provide support across various operational functions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Place and complete purchase orders, ensuring timely purchasing of goods.
• Verify supplier invoices to... ensure accuracy and alignment with agreed-upon terms.
• Manage stock levels, conduct regular stock control checks, and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Assist Sales Representatives when needed, including handling inquiries and coordinating orders.
• Answer phone calls, providing prompt and professional responses to supplier and internal team inquiries.
• Use Sage software to manage purchase orders, sales orders ,supplier information, and inventory data.
• Ensure effective communication with the Technical Manager to align on technical and operational requirements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating the best possible terms and prices.
• Track market trends and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on purchasing activities, stock levels, and vendor performance.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that stock and purchasing align with sales forecasts and production needs.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of [Insert Years] years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the food or manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in Sage software is a must.
• Proven experience in stock control and inventory management.
• Strong communication skills, including experience working with sales teams and answering phone inquiries.
