Job Description
We are seeking a Warehouse Associate/Custodian to join our team and help maintain the cleanliness, organization, and efficient operations of our Wilton Grove facility. You will be responsible for performing custodial tasks and supporting the general warehouse functions including picking, packing, shipping and receiving functions to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders.
Custodial Duties
• Perform janitorial duties related to maintaining the total cleanliness and sanitation inside and outside of the Drexel warehouses and office facilities as needed
• Perform regular walkthrough to identify necessary repair works and maintenance tasks.
• Handle small maintenance projects in both warehouses and office facilities upon request.
• Manage waste disposal, supplies, material and equipment inspection maintenance and repair, and clean any spills or debris.
• Report any identified problems (leaks, tripping hazards, potholes) and assist the JHSC where required.
• Maintain and participate in a clean, safe and clutter free work environment.
Warehouse Duties
• Pick, pack, and ship orders and shipments.
• Unload trucks and containers by hand or using equipment, receive, label, sort, quality check and putaway per SOPs.
• Process returns, inventory counting, packaging, cleaning, maintenance or any other warehouse functions as required.
• Ensure all customer requirements, guidelines, SLA’s, and KPI’s are met regarding on time delivery, packing, labeling, and routing.
• Coordinate and organize appointments, routing, transportation, and schedules using online portals, email, or phone as needed.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with customers, carriers, and vendors.
• Verify the accuracy of transactions, using RF scan guns, WMS platforms and various software programs.
• Generate and audit shipping documents as required, including BOL, Commercial Invoice, Labels, etc.
• Manage dock traffic and load and unload containers and trucks.
• Investigate and reconcile shipping, receiving and inventory discrepancies.
• Other duties as required.
Qualifications
• Ability to stand for 8+ hours a day.
• Ability and flexibility to work different shift schedules as required with a reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs.
• Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards safety rules.
• General maintenance experience including handling, mixing and using cleaning chemicals.
• Experience working in warehouse environment.
• Experience in handling TDG (dangerous goods) is a strong asset.
• Experience operating a Counterbalance and Reach forklift is preferred.
• Experience working with RF scanner and WMS (warehouse management system).
• Previous experience with inventory and cycle counting is an asset.
• Successful background check (including criminal history).
