Position: Fruit & Vegetable Packing Assistant
Location: Tottenham (N17 0DX)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
No. of Vacancies: 1
Salary: £11.75 per hour
Hours: 40 hrs per week (5 days per week)

About the Role
As a Fruit & Vegetable Packing Assistant, your duties will include preparing and stocking fresh fruits and vegetables, ensuring proper labelling, reporting stock issues, and keeping the department organized. You will assist with deliveries, maintain cleanliness, and follow health and safety guidelines, while supporting the store management team and other departments as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
Duties include but not limited to:
• Cut, weigh, wrap fresh... fruits and vegetables, and put products on the shelves with the correct price label
• Be aware of any product that is out of stock and report to the store management team immediately
• Ensure the department to be organised according to the company’s visual merchandising standards
• Ensure the company’s First In First Out procedures (date rotation principles) are followed
• Work with other colleagues to process and receive deliveries. This includes checking the quantity and quality, organising and placing the stocks neatly. ·
• Review pricing of all fruits and vegetables in relation to sales records and make amendments as needed
• Work with other colleagues to keep your working area clean and organised·
• Report all safety hazards and risk factors to a member of the store management team without delay in comply with the Company’s Health and Safety guidelines at all times
• Take initiative and support other departments when needed or when requested by store management team
Requirements:
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle fresh produce
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work well in a team and independently
• Must have the legal right to work in the UK (without sponsorship)
