Responsibilities
• Provide commercially focused advice on clearance, protection, and licensing of trade marks to all bp Group businesses
• Manage copyright-related complaints in the USA
• Conduct efficient trade mark clearance searches
• Manage domestic and international trade mark applications
• Monitor third-party trade mark applications
• Handle trade mark opposition and enforcement cases
Qualifications
• University degree
• Valid, active license to practice law
• CITMA qualified, or solicitor/barrister with appropriate experience
• Minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience in intellectual property
• Experience in managing cases at the USTPO and litigation before the TTAB
Education Requirements
• University degree in law or related field

• Law degree or equivalent legal qualifications
Experience Requirements
• At least three years of relevant experience in intellectual property law, especially in trade mark and copyright protection
• Proven experience managing external service providers
