Job Descrption
Snow Lawyers Professional Corporation represents individuals facing serious criminal charges throughout Southwestern Ontario. We provide discrete and effective defence strategies and have a particularly strong practice dealing with Charter litigation, and drug, firearm, and homicide cases. We are looking to hire an associate to join our growing practice. Demonstrated interest and experience in criminal law is necessary.
This position is based in our London, Ontario office, and full-time attendance in person is required. The starting salary for this position will be commensurate with experience and will be reviewed after six months.
First and foremost, we are looking to hire someone who is hard-working. A career in criminal defence is not for the faint of heart and the path to becoming an outstanding lawyer starts with the willingness to invest time and effort to develop knowledge and skill. Ideal candidates will also... possess the following qualities:
• Knowledgeable about criminal law and procedure;
• Experience in criminal defence;
• Motivated self-starter;
• Strong analytic writing skills;
• Ability and willingness to take independent initiative;
• Ability and willingness to excel in a fast-paced, high volume environment;
• Ability and willingness to manage competing priorities and deadlines;
• Strong academic achievement in law school; and
• A desire and willingness to learn and master complex legal concepts.
