LICENSED SHOP MECHANIC
Riverside Concrete Forming is currently seeking a Licensed Mechanic to join our Riverside team.
Are you a mechanic who likes a lot of variety, enjoys trouble shooting and has the drive to learn new things?
We have jobs coming through door that range from small engine repair to heavy equipment re-builds.
In this position, you will be working alongside our shop mechanic and responsible for the constructing, maintaining and repairing of all machinery and vehicles. Your duties will include monitoring inventory, inspecting vehicles, and assembling machinery.
To succeed in this role, you should be physically fit and have a solid knowledge of mechanic’s tools, service, and diagnostic equipment. Our ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, with excellent communication and customer service skills.
Mechanic Responsibilities:
310T Certification preferred
Conducting regular maintenance on various machinery, systems, and automotive vehicles including... diesel trucks and heavy equipment.
Meet with company drivers to better understand their concerns and identify the issue.
Assemble mechanical components according to specifications.
Roadside and worksite fixes when necessary.
Troubleshoot machinery and oversee diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems.
Create and share action plans for all maintenance tasks and upgrades.
Maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records.
Monitor inventory and order new parts when necessary.
Offer consultation on maintenance and preventative procedures to machine and vehicle users.
Perform vehicle assessments and alert operators on issues that will prohibit their vehicles from passing inspection.
Supervise and support the work of the apprentice mechanic.
Mechanic Requirements:
Certification from a vocational school or trade school in Mechanics – Diesel and/or Heavy Equipment preferred.
In-depth knowledge of vehicle diagnostic equipment and mechanical systems.
Strong attention to detail with an aptitude for problem-solving.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $38.00-$43.00 per hour

• AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
