Licensed/Apprentice Electrician

Ampcon Electric is looking to hire a journey-person electrician. We are offering stable and consistent full time employment for motivated individuals. For years, we've focused on smaller commercial and residential projects both new Construction and reno's. At any time we have multiple projects ranging from a few days worth of work to several weeks or months. Additionally, we have need for someone who can assist with service work and experience in service will be greatly beneficial. As a result, this is still a hands on position where you will still be expected to be on the tools. We offer competitive wages. Suitable applicants should:

-be reliable, punctual, responsible and able to work 40+ hours a week

-have valid drivers license and reliable transportation (company vehicle could be available in the long term)

-be able to work in small groups with 1 to 5 other individuals including apprentices

-have their red seal

-be prepared to move in and out... of jobs and be flexible with quick project turnover and changes

• Troubleshoot and isolate faults
• Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults integrity of circuits
• Splice, join and connect wires
• Renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial structures
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
• Install, replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxes
• Install surface mount and/or overhead cables
• Install underground wiring and cables
• Conduct preventive maintenance programs
• Connect power to audio and visual equipment

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00-$45.00 per hour
