An exciting secondment or fixed-term opportunity has arisen in the Goodall Quality Governance Team for a dynamic and ambitious administrator in the post of Quality Governance Support Officer. This role will help assure high quality, safe care is delivered by our diverse range of services.
The role will involve providing administrative support to the Quality Governance team on the main areas of its business - patient safety, clinical effectiveness and patient experience. This includes meeting facilitation, supporting with the preparation of information and data for monthly and quarterly meetings, analysis of incident information and the following up of open actions with services, alongside other duties appropriate to the grade.

You will need to have excellent organisational and time management skills, and... experience in Microsoft packages, particularly Word and Excel. Knowledge and experience of using systems like Datix and IQVIA (or similar) will be an advantage but not essential. The team continues with a hybrid working model meaning there will be some home working alongside office-based activities.
The post will work as part of the integrated divisional governance team supporting activities across all areas of quality governance.
Working closely with the divisional Quality Governance Team, the post will have particular responsibility for supporting the governance agenda.
Specifically, the role will have responsibility for:
Supporting the Safety and Effectiveness workstream; supporting services and the quality governance team in the management of incidents and key audits.
Administrative support to the monthly service-line Quality Governance Meetings.
Project support for the Divisional Governance Team.
With the support of the Divisional Head of Quality Governance, the post holder will work closely with clinicians and managers to promote, facilitate and advise on quality governance activity within all clinical areas, providing guidance and support with data analysis, report preparation and the presentation of findings.
The role is based at the Quality Governance Team's office in Uxbridge, with a mixture of home working and office-based activities.

To provide a quality governance administrative resource to clinical teams, managers and local care quality management groups.
To administratively support local and Trust-wide clinical audit projects and the management of incidents as appropriate.
To work proactively and closely with a wide range of healthcare professionals in the development of clinical audit projects, and support:
o The design of practical audit methodologies to elicit valid and reliable results.
o The undertaking of literature searches for audit projects.
o Ensuring appropriate clinical audit tools are designed to measure standards of care (using methods such as interviews, questionnaires, focus groups etc.)
o To design and develop databases and spreadsheets for the analysis of audit data.
o To complete data entry and undertake the analysis of audit data, applying basic statistical techniques and tests.
o To ensure follow-up audits are scheduled where necessary to assess change.
