Job Type: Permanent
Job Location: London, UK(2-3 Days onsite in a week)Job Description:
Role Summary: You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining systems used to collect and analyse business intelligence data. Dashboards, databases, and other platforms creation that allow for efficient collection and evaluation of BI data e.g. Power BI. You will also focus on providing clean and comprehensible data to the end-user that can be efficiently used to create KPIs
Role Accountabilities
• Translating requirements and business opportunities into easy-to-understand reporting on Power BI.
• Use technical processes and business logic to transform data from disparate sources into cohesive meaningful and valuable data with quality, governance and compliance considerations working closely with the data architect.
• Contribute to the BI lifecycle management which is the design... development and management approach to BI that incorporates business users into the design process and focuses on generating the data models, database objects, data integration mappings and front-end semantic layers directly from the business user input.
• Dive deep to create trustable and understandable data for our DA to create insights on how well client is doing as a business, and how it is caring for the customer experience as it relates to claims, risks, bdx etc.
• Create interfaces and mechanisms for the data flow and access of information.
• Clean the data, removing duplicates, and conforming data to specific data model. Store the normalised data in the data warehouse or in a relational database.
• Data normalisation and modelling as part of the transform step of ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Model business logic, extract key performances metrics, and create reusable data structures.
• Maintain data so that it remains available and usable e.g. SQL (Basic, Advanced modelling, Efficient, Big Data and Programmatic).
• Data managing such as reshaping, aggregating
Role Requirements
• Degree level education in relevant subject (e.g. finance, maths, physics etc.)
• Other beneficial qualifications (e.g. MBA, CFA, etc.)
• Previous experience and good understanding of Azure data tools
• Experience of working to defined strategies and goals, taking ownership of strategy
• Project Management and experience with software development methodologies such as Agile
Skills and Abilities
• Platforms & Tools: Cloud Computing platforms (ADLS Gen2), Microsoft Stack (Synapse, DataBricks, Fabric, Profisee), Azure Service Bus, Power BI, DAX, DeltaLake, Azure DevOps, Azure Monitor, SQL Server, Azure App service, Azure ML.
• Languages: Python, SQL, T-SQL, SSIS.
• DB: Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, NoSQL.
• Methodologies: Agile, DevOps.
• Concepts: ELT/ETL, DWH, APIs (RESTful), Spark APIs, FTP protocols, SSL, SFTP, PKI (public Key Infrastructure) and Integration testing
