Job Descrption
We are collaborating with a shipowner to find a Tender Engineer Specialist to be based in Newcastle. This role will be managing the increasing volume of tenders across various business units.
The Tender Engineer Specialist will play a key role in securing new business opportunities by handling tenders received through direct communication, charterers' portals, or external tender management systems.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Develop and manage detailed tender proposals for projects, including technical and commercial documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, project management, finance) and external stakeholders (clients, suppliers) to gather necessary information and ensure comprehensive tender submissions.
• Review and analyze tender specifications, requirements, and contract terms to ensure compliance and identify potential risks.
• Prepare and review technical and commercial documentation, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client requirements and company... standards.
• Manage communication with clients and external partners through various channels, including direct correspondence, charterers' portals, and tender management systems.
• Ensure all tender submissions comply with regulatory and contractual requirements, and maintain records of all tender-related activities.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in the tendering process.
Ideal Candidate
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maritime Studies, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a tendering or proposal management role, preferably within the maritime sector.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess tender requirements and develop competitive proposals.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively
